About Atlas9:
Atlas9 is Kansas City’s premier narrative-driven immersive art experience, a $40 million state-of-the-art facility located near The Legends in Kansas City, Kansas. Spanning over 45,000 square feet, the attraction is set within a mysteriously transformed 1990s movie theater where "forgotten films" have materialized into a living, interactive cinematic universe. Visitors take on the role of field agents to investigate over 70 individual anomalies using RFID technology that tracks their progress through 35 uniquely themed rooms, including an underwater realm, a giant popcorn room, and a 1940s-themed jazz cabaret club featuring live performances. Developed as a joint venture between Dimensional Innovations (DI) and other local partners, the venue features a 240-seat auditorium with advanced projection mapping, a retro arcade, and a specialized pizza parlor, offering a multi-sensory journey where reality and film seamlessly blend.
