This brunch takes place at Chaimi, a beloved local spot known for crafting seasonal brunch menus entirely around local ingredients. Each season is an experiment, and this one is all about wild greens. From bread and salads to sauces and pizza, everyday wild vegetables from across Taitung are reimagined into surprising, thoughtful dishes — turning humble ingredients into a conversation on creativity, sustainability, and place.
The two founders, Owen and Haomi, didn’t come from a traditional culinary background. What they did bring was curiosity. After years of living and working in other cities, they chose Taitung for its slow-food culture, building deep relationships with local producers — from foraged greens to glutinous rice wine lees. Their brunch isn’t about flashy plating; it’s about honest flavors and real connections. Every bite carries the story of the land and the people behind it.
