​Join us this weekend as we explore Toronto’s scenic Humber River trails and support an independent neighborhood café . Whether you are coming solo, bringing a friend, or bringing your four-legged companion, this walk is about slowing down, meeting neighbors, and enjoying fresh air.

• ​Date & Time: Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM

• ​Meeting Point: Golden Gecko Coffee (282 Jane Street, Toronto) — We will gather here first to grab drinks.

• ​Trail Location: Étienne Brûlé Park & The Humber River Trail (watching for early seasonal salmon along the river!)

• ​Pet-Friendly: 🐶 Dogs are very welcome! Well-behaved, leashed dogs are encouraged to join the walk along the river trails .

• ​Pace & Difficulty: Easy to moderate (mostly flat dirt trails and paved riverside pathways) .

• ​Distance & Duration: Approximately 5 km | Around 1.5 to 2 hours .

​What to Bring

• ​Your Own Reusable Cup / Thermos (Essential): Did you know Toronto discards roughly 1 million single-use cups every day? We are doing our small part to change that habit. Bring your clean reusable mug to fill up at the café before we hit the trail.

• ​If Bringing a Dog: A leash and waste bags for the trail.

• ​Comfortable walking or running shoes (trails may have occasional damp soil or gravel).

• ​Weather-appropriate layers.
