Build Your Own Creature
An unauthorized creature assembly experiment
(Mandarin version below. This event will be conducted in both English and Mandarin)
If you could assemble a living creature from scratch, what would you create? A being with three heads and no heart? A monster with human hands and insect eyes that insists it’s your friend? Or something so strange you wouldn’t even know what to call it?
Welcome to PROJECT: MONSTER, an interactive creative experiment inspired by Frankenstein. Inside this slightly unconventional laboratory, you’ll be given a collection of body-part files and invited to assemble your own creature, give it a name, create its case file, and ultimately decide its fate.
No one will tell you what the right combination looks like. You don’t need artistic skills, a scientific background, or any preparation beforehand. All you need is the willingness to make your own choices.
But remember: creating a life and taking responsibility for it are two very different things.
🧬 WHAT WILL HAPPEN? 🧬
01 | ASSEMBLE 🛠️
Combine an assortment of human, animal, insect, and otherworldly body parts to create a creature that has never existed before. Proportion, logic, and aesthetics are merely suggestions, not rules.
02 | NAME 💡
Every creature deserves a name of its own. Give your creation an identity and make it official.
03 | DOCUMENT 📜
Why does it look the way it does? Through its individual case file, record its characteristics, its story, and perhaps the reasons behind your choices that you’d rather not admit.
04 | DETERMINE ITS FATE ⚖️
Take one last look at your creation and reconsider your choices. Whatever you decide, every completed creature will become part of the experiment.
🧪 WHO IS THIS FOR? 🧪
This experiment is for anyone who:
Is drawn to the grotesque, Frankenstein, strange creatures, and unconventional forms of creativity.
Enjoys interactive games, role-play, and experiences with a touch of theatricality.
Is curious about psychology, philosophy, science, or the question of why people make the choices they do.
Wants to meet new people but would rather skip another social event built around exchanging names and job titles.
Come on your own or bring a friend. 🌚 🌝
No creative experience is necessary. There are no right answers and no prizes for making the best creature, there are only the choices you make, and the things you bring into existence.
THE EXPERIMENT AWAITS.
Build it. Name it. Take responsibility.

Build Your Own Creature
