The G7 Cyber Expert Group’s January 2026 roadmap encourages a coordinated transition to quantum-resistant cryptography across the financial sector. It is a non-prescriptive planning resource, not a new regulatory requirement. NIST has published post-quantum cryptography standards and a draft transition plan for quantum-vulnerable algorithms.
