Our eyes and ears tell us the world is one way. Algorithms, filters, and synthetic media often insist it is another. Deepfakes blur voices, videos are doctored, and information systems flood us with certainty, or confusion. What happens when the senses we’ve relied on since birth are no longer reliable guides?

This month, we gather to explore how humans search for truth in an age of illusion. Can we still trust what we see and hear? What tools, old and new, do we need to make sense of reality?

Our guide in this conversation will be Barry Cooper, Founding Principal of The Global College in Madrid. An educator, who believes that learning is a collective responsibility and that every encounter with knowledge reshapes how we see ourselves and the world. Together, we’ll ask:

✨ How do we teach discernment when reality itself is up for debate?
✨ What happens to trust when senses can be tricked?
✨ Can education rebuild a shared ground of truth?

Join us around the table for another evening of curiosity, questioning, and conversation.

💡 Refund policy: Full refunds are only available until October 3rd. If you choose not to come after that, you’re welcome to sell your ticket in the Sobremesa group or to a friend, just send us a quick email at [email protected] to let us know.
