The Context Layer: What Your AI Can See
A clever prompt cannot rescue AI that is working from the wrong information.
Context is everything the model can see at the moment it acts: what it knows about your business, what is true in your systems right now and what it can retrieve when the answer is not already in front of it.
In this practical 45-minute workshop, Zac King will show you how to move beyond one-off chats, long threads and static document uploads towards a live context layer that supports real work.
You will learn the three sources that make up a useful context stack:
Persistent knowledge: the company information, rules and working standards that should remain available.
Live connections: the current information held in the systems your team already uses.
Tools: the ability to retrieve the specific information a task needs instead of guessing.
We will demonstrate the approach inside the real Works operating stack: how a task draws from persistent files, live systems and retrieval tools without loading the model with the entire business.
Then you will apply the same thinking to one workflow of your own. We will identify what the AI genuinely needs to know, what must be current, what it should be able to fetch and what does not belong in the context at all.
You will leave with a simple context map for that workflow and one practical next step: connect the right source, repair stale information, reduce the noise or pause before building further.
