New Chapter, New Stories: Join our March Book Swap!
We are thrilled to invite you to the Späti Stories March Book Swap. This month, we are gathering at Chapters, a freshly opened English-language bookshop in Moabit that is already creating a beautiful community in the Berlin literary scene.
Situated exactly where the old West of Charlottenburg meets the spirit of Mitte, Chapters is a home for the diverse voices that make Berlin’s choir so unique. With a special focus on immigrant authors and a "Thank God for Immigrants" sign greeting you behind the counter, it is the perfect place for gathering and discovery.
Owner Sharmaine Lovegrove, a former publisher and literary agent, believes in literature as a bridge that connects us. At Spati Stories, we couldn't agree more. Join us for an evening of neighborhood connection and story-sharing.

How it Works:
Bring a book: Choose one that truly moved you. A book that kept you awake past your bedtime, a book that made you feel less alone in Berlin, or a book that reminds you of home.
Write a note: Place a small note inside the cover for the next reader to find. Tell them why you chose it or what it meant to you.
Swap: Trade your story for a new one and meet like-minded people in the process. We’ll place all the books in a circle, and everyone will choose one to take home.
What’s Included:
A curated community experience in one of Berlin’s most beautiful new bookshops, located where it used to be an old butcher shop in Moabit.
Snacks, wine and non-alcoholic drinks provided by Späti Stories.
10% Discount: Chapters is generously offering all participants 10% off any book purchases made during the event!

Spaces are limited to ensure an intimate atmosphere, so please RSVP to secure your spot. If you can't attend, please cancel at least a day before.
We’ll be taking pictures and short videos during the event so if you’d prefer not to appear, just let us know when you arrive.
