About Event

The holidays can be full of warmth and connection — but they can also bring guilt, stress, and tricky family dynamics. 

Saying “yes” when you mean “no,” overextending yourself, or walking on eggshells can leave you feeling drained instead of enjoying the season.

It doesn’t have to be that way. Setting healthy boundaries isn’t about shutting people out; it’s about creating space for genuine connection, balance, and joy.

In this free MHM Community Event, you’ll learn how to honor your needs without guilt and navigate family pressures with more ease.

With guidance from a licensed therapist and the support of others who are in similar situations, you’ll explore:

  • Why boundaries feel harder with family, and how to approach them with both clarity and compassion.

  • How to cultivate awareness and intention so you can navigate the holiday season with more calm and presence.

  • Practical tools for handling guilt, obligation, and people-pleasing, so you can set boundaries without second guessing yourself.

  • Scripts and strategies that turn tricky conversations and frustrating family dynamics into healthy interactions.

You’ll leave with practical skills and the confidence to set boundaries that protect your energy, preserve your peace, and make room for more genuine joy this holiday season.

This event is 90 minutes long, with cameras on. Participants are encouraged to introduce themselves (first names only), and share as they feel comfortable.

About Your Therapist Facilitator, Avni

​Avni Panchal is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. She specializes in anxiety, trauma, overcoming inner criticism, imposter syndrome and embracing a fulfilling and authentic life.

​Her events are strength-based and center our common humanity. Participants often appreciate the simplicity with which Avni explains concepts and leave with a sense of clarity and tangible action steps.
