Geneva in Action: Scaling School Connectivity Worldwide, part III (a Giga/diplo event)

​Join us on Wednesday, 9 September, from 17:00 to 18:15 at the Giga Connectivity Centre for the third edition of our event series, Geneva in Action: Scaling School Connectivity Worldwide. Co-hosted with Diplo, the series explores how global collaboration can help accelerate universal, meaningful connectivity for schools and communities around the world.

​This session will focus on one of the most practical questions facing governments today: how to choose, finance, and scale the right last-mile connectivity solutions for schools. As countries work to connect every school to the Internet, identifying sustainable and context-appropriate connectivity solutions remains one of the key implementation challenges.

​During this 75-minute conversation, Geneva-based organizations, experts, and practitioners will share experiences and lessons learned from efforts to bridge the last-mile connectivity gap. Together, we will explore real-world deployment challenges, emerging technology and policy trends, and practical approaches to turning ambitions into scalable and sustainable implementation.

​The event takes place in the margins of the Giga Learning Hub's Last Mile School Connectivity Planning course, held in Geneva from 7 to 11 September. The course brings together government officials, regulators, and digital transformation leaders from across Giga-engaged countries to strengthen national capacities for school connectivity planning and implementation.

As always, the aim is to create a space where practical experience, diverse expertise, and global perspectives come together to advance school connectivity worldwide.
