How many different stories can there be about lesbian lives? Beyond the familiar image of urban, highly educated lesbians, there are women whose stories are rarely included in mainstream LGBTQ+ narratives. They are migrant workers who have left their homes to work in Taiwan, finding ways to work, live, and love in factories.

Unbound Bookstore will be screening two documentaries, Lesbian Factory and Rainbow Popcorn, exploring the lived experiences of 7 lesbian migrant-worker couples in Taiwan. We'll get a glimpse into their relationships, everyday lives, and working conditions, as well as hear their voices in the fight for labor rights.

Lesbian Factory documents their collective struggle and the love and daily lives of the women’s lesbian couples, whose relationships are shaped by the uncertainty of work and migration.

Years later, Rainbow Popcorn returns to their stories, following the women across the Philippines and to Dubai as their lives and relationships continue to change.
