Not a talk. Not networking. A live game show about the work you actually do.
What it is
Undefined is a live game where everyone in the room plays at once. Real questions about digital product work, real answers from the people next to you, and real reactions when the results hit the screen. This is an event you've likely never been to before.
What to expect
Doors open to a room full of people who build digital products for a living. Find your people, settle in, and enjoy some light bites.
Then the game begins. Three sessions of live prompts, real-time results, and moments that will make you want to turn to the person next to you and say "wait, really?" The whole room plays together, reacts together, and occasionally surprises itself.
At the end of the night, the findings get compiled into a report you can actually use. Bring it back to your team. Start a conversation. Reference it in a retro. It's yours.
Why it's different
Most tech events ask you to sit and listen, or hand you a name tag and wish you luck. Undefined does neither.
Your host drives the game, reacts to the room, and keeps the energy moving. The real content comes from the people in the seats. Just a room of peers engaging with the same questions at the same time, together. The conversation doesn't happen after the event. It is the event.
Every session has a different flavor. Some questions will make you nod, some will make you laugh, and some will make you relieved you're not the only one. Questions like:
• The Figma file nobody is allowed to touch is called...
• We technically shipped it but...
• Our design system is named after...
And a dozen others that will have the whole room reacting at once.
The report
At the end of the night, every response gets compiled into a report and sent to everyone who played. It captures what the room said, where people agreed, and where things got interesting.
As results hit the screen, you can leave comments in real time and some may make it into the report, adding context and color to the data. It is not a recap. It is actual insight from actual practitioners in the room with you. Bring it to your next team meeting, drop it in a Slack channel, or just read it on the train home.
About the host
Donnie D'Amato is a Design Systems Architect, educator, and content creator who has spent years turning complex ideas into conversations that actually go somewhere, and making sure everyone in the room is having fun while it happens.
He designed the games you are about to play, built the platform running them, and will be in the room with you the whole night.

Spots at Undefined are limited and every seat is curated. When you register, you will be asked a few quick questions about your background and what you are hoping to get out of the night. We use those answers to build a room that is worth being in.
Applications are open for two weeks after each event is announced. If you are approved, you will hear back with next steps. If the cohort fills before you hear from us, we will let you know and make sure you have a chance to apply next time.
Cancellation policy
Tickets are non-refundable except within 48 hours of your approval notification. If something comes up after that window, reach out and we will do our best to accommodate. Spots that open up due to cancellations are filled from the waitlist.
