​In this session we will explore different approaches, ingredients and examples of how to radically build communities that can help us heal together, while creating the world we would like to live in. Participants will have the chance to get a glimpse of the experience of each guest, and then join one of the guests to dive deeper into their world.

​• With: Aslam Bulbulia, Dandara Manoela, and Lana Jelenjev.

​Aslam Bulbulia is a 4th generation South African-Indian living on the land Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-waututh (Vancouver) for the past 7 years. His interests include political science and philosophy, city planning, Islamic spirituality and law, and decolonization. He led community engagement initiatives for many years and currently facilitates group conflict.

​Dandara Manoela is a singer, songwriter, percussionist, artistic and cultural producer, and vocal educator. Her musical power is a symbol of the resistance of Afro-Brazilian cultural manifestations and of black and lesbian women in the artistic field. She moves through various Brazilian rhythms, such as samba and MPB, with Afro and Latin influences, singing of struggles, affections and subjectivities.

​Lana is a community alchemist, speaker, author, and learning design strategist with an extensive background in training and education. She is the author of “Community Building: Designing Communities for Change”, “What’s Strong with You? From Deficits to Strengths”, and “90-Day Action Planner”.

​​​💲All money earned through ticket sales will go to remunerate Festival guests. Most of the speakers at the Festival are activists and/or artists, and we are committed to remunerating their time responsibly. For that, we need your help: please be conscious of your privileges and contribute accordingly when acquiring your tickets. 

​​​​The suggested rate is for people with an annual income of up to EUR 40 000. If you earn more than that, have inherited money or anything similar, please consider going beyond the suggested rate.

​Nesta sessão, exploraremos diferentes abordagens, ingredientes e exemplos de como construir radicalmente comunidades que podem nos ajudar a nos curar juntes e, ao mesmo tempo, criar o mundo em que gostaríamos de viver. Participantes terão a chance de ter um amostra da experiência de cada convidade e, em seguida, se juntar a ume delus para se aprofundar em seu mundo.

​Aslam Bulbulia é um indiano sul-africano da 4ª geração morando nas terras Musqueam, Squamish e Tsleil-waututh (Vancouver) há 7 anos. Seus interesses incluem ciência política e filosofia, planejamento urbano, espiritualidade e lei islâmica, e decolonização. Ele liderou iniciativas de envolvimento comunitário por muitos anos e atualmente facilita conflitos de grupo.

​Dandara Manoela é cantora, compositora, percussionista, produtora artística e cultural, e educadora vocal. Sua potência musical é um símbolo de resistência das manifestações culturais afro-brasileiras e da mulher negra e lésbica no campo artístico. Transita por diversos ritmos brasileiros, como samba e MPB, com influências afro e latinas, cantando lutas, afetos e subjetividades.

​Lana é uma alquimista de comunidades, palestrante, autora e estrategista de design de aprendizagem com ampla experiência em treinamento e educação. Ela é autora de "Community Building: Designing Communities for Change", "What's Strong with You? From Deficits to Strengths" e "90-Day Action Planner".
