Climate Circle Lisbon presents - Work on Climate -
We are a community that meets once a month to learn, connect, and share knowledge about climate work in Lisbon. Join us for our final gathering of the year at the Goethe-Institut!
For this special edition, instead of our usual two-speaker format, we will be welcoming one guest speaker on the topic of climate finance.
After the talk, we will host a facilitated discussion circle, where we’ll have a focused discussion on climate finance - what it enables, what is still missing, and how it can better support climate work across sectors. We will then wrap up with a short reflection on what we’ve achieved as a community over the past three years, followed by space for participants to share their own insights and experiences.

Sonja Malicevic, Environment & Climate Finance Specialist | Multilateral Climate Funds
With over 13 years of international experience in environmental sustainability and climate change, Sonia has had a multidisciplinary career across the UN system, international financial institutions, and the private sector. She has designed, implemented and evaluated climate mitigation and adaptation projects with organisations like UNEP, UNDP, and IRENA and has expertise in mobilizing and managing international climate finance, particularly through mechanisms like the Global Environment Facility (GEF), and the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
