EnterpriseMCP Night Series at Workato
Join us for Enterprise MCP Night at Workato, an evening of hands-on demos and candid conversations from technical practitioners building real world agentic solutions on MCP.
Hear directly from engineers and architects pushing the frontier of enterprise AI orchestration, and connect with the builders shaping the ecosystem around it.
Featured Speakers
1) Jiquan Ngiam, Founder of MintMCP
How We Run Our Business with AI Teammates
AI is moving beyond copilots to AI teammates that work alongside your team in Slack, Teams, and the tools you already use. Join MintMCP CEO Jiquan Ngiam for a behind-the-scenes look at how his team uses AI agents across sales, customer success, engineering, operations, and competitive research. JQ will share real examples of what's working, mistakes they've made along the way, and practical ideas you can take back to your own company. Perfect for founders, executives, and technical leaders curious about what it actually looks like to run a business with AI teammates.
2) Simba Khadder, Head of Product at Redis
Building a Context Engine with MCP
Agents query data very differently than humans do. They make far more requests, need structured and unstructured data together, and have to hold state across long, multi-step tasks. RAG handles one-shot text lookups fine, but relational data and live APIs stay out of reach, so teams end up hand-rolling Text2SQL or brittle OpenAPI-to-MCP wrappers for every source. We hit this problem directly while building Redis Iris, and it's why we settled on MCP as the connective layer between agents and data instead of writing a wrapper per source.
The idea: define a semantic schema once and let it generate the interface. That schema auto-generates MCP tools agents can call directly instead of querying databases by hand, so structured and unstructured data flow through the same path. A memory layer built on vector search sits alongside it, giving agents both session state and durable memory across tasks. I'll walk through how we designed the schema, generated the tools, and what broke along the way building this into Iris.
