Meet Haizel:
Haizel McIntyre is the Founder and CEO of Making Money Movers NYC, a mission-driven organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities through culturally relevant financial education rooted in social work. A first-generation Dominican-American raised in the Bronx, Haizel’s journey from a single-parent household to becoming a licensed social worker, Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI), and Certified Financial Social Worker exemplifies resilience and determination.
With a Master’s degree from Fordham University, Haizel combines her background in social work with financial literacy to address systemic barriers and help individuals break cycles of poverty. Under her leadership, Making Money Movers NYC has partnered with schools, community organizations, and businesses to deliver impactful workshops and resources that foster financial empowerment.
Recognized by Inc.com, WNET, and Canvas Rebel, Haizel has been honored by the Bronx Borough President and named Ponce Bank’s Best of the Bronx - Best Financial Advisor 2024. Haizel is also a proud alumni of Communitas Ventures Cohort 9 as well as an active member of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce and NYC Women’s Chamber of Commerce, leveraging her expertise to create pathways for economic mobility.
