Florianópolis ("Floripa") is a 400,000-person city on an island in southern Brazil. It's officially recognized as Brazil's startup capital by density, home to one of Latin America's most active tech and Web3 ecosystems, and the birthplace of one of the most exciting experiments in startup societies and pop-up cities happening anywhere in the world right now.
This isn't a digital nomad hotspot built around tourism.
It's a place where high-growth startups are scaling, founders are raising capital, and a new kind of city is being built from the ground up.

🎙️ Featured Guest: Nima Kaz Magic Island Ambassador and co-founder of FounderHaus and Founder Village in Florianopolis. A Canadian entrepreneur and techno-optimist who has called Brazil home for over a decade, Nima has been building the infrastructure for a new kind of startup society long before it was a trend. He is co-founder of JUPTER, a startup ecosystem platform mapping Brazil's investment landscape, one of the key leaders behind FloripaDEZ and a contributor to The Seasteading Institute. His thesis: it's either onchain or onchain-able. He'll be at the event to share what's actually being built in Floripa and why the world should be paying attention.
