Portfolio Review with Elizabeth Azen Andia
Two brand design portfolios. One creative director. A closer look at the thinking behind the work.
Join us for this month’s Portfolio Review with Elizabeth Azen Andia, VP Brand Creative Director at The Wall Street Journal & Dow Jones.
Elizabeth is a design-forward creative leader dedicated to cultivating conversation, shared vision, and rigorous practice. She previously founded and led EA Projects, a design practice rooted in cultural production, and has worked with organizations including Princeton Architectural Press, Yale University, the Environmental Defense Fund, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Audi, and Clinique.
For this live review, Elizabeth will walk through 2 brand design portfolios, sharing how she evaluates the work through the lens of visual craft, conceptual development, brand storytelling, design systems, and creative point of view.
You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at what makes a brand portfolio compelling, where case studies can lose clarity, and how designers can better communicate the thinking behind their visual decisions.
Elizabeth will also share her perspective on building shared creative language, creating the conditions for strong brand work, and leading creative teams with intention.
