​The Exhibition

​IN PLAY starts with the freedom of not knowing where a work will lead. Hosted at Aethos Club Lisbon and curated by CiReine, this exhibition presents a process that is both intuitive and responsive.

​Color, shape, line, and proportion become elements to play with — a composition begins in balance and is deliberately disrupted, patterns establish order only to be broken, and small adjustments alter the feeling of the whole. Color acts as an instinctual language, driving experimentation until a moment of resonance emerges. Like building with a small set of blocks, the elements are simple, but the combinations are infinite.

​The Artist

​Based between Lisbon and Florence, with roots in Ukraine, Olga Ermol creates bold, abstract compositions using cotton thread on canvas. Her large-scale, hand-stitched works turn color into a physical, emotional, and spatial experience.

​Drawing influence from color theory, modernist architecture, and Latin American Modernism, Ermol moves fluidly between structure and intuition. Through deliberate repetition and nuanced color relationships, her works invite open, individual interpretation.
