Fridays @ UTS Startups: What happens when intelligence becomes abundant?
What happens when intelligence becomes abundant? This Friday, Dr David Chambers joins us at UTS Startups to answer it.
Fridays @ UTS Startups brings founders, builders and curious minds together for conversations about entrepreneurship, ideas and what it really takes to build something from the ground up.
As AI makes sophisticated capabilities cheaper and more accessible, the challenge shifts from what a business can build to what makes it worth choosing. David argues that an organisation’s accumulated experience, and its ability to learn from it, will become central to lasting competitive advantage.
In this session, he explores AI agents, organisational memory and the importance of retaining ownership of the knowledge your business creates. Drawing on his research and practical work at UTS Startups, he considers how founders can design organisations that become more capable with every decision.
Expect a thoughtful, practical conversation about what remains valuable when intelligence is available to everyone, and what that means for the businesses we choose to build.
We'll dig into:
AI agents
Organisational memory
Owning the knowledge your business creates
Meet Dr David Chambers
Dr. David Chambers is the AI Programming Lead at UTS Startups, where he applies artificial intelligence to the challenges of building businesses. With an MBA and doctoral research in deep reinforcement learning, he brings a distinctive perspective to how organisations make decisions, learn from experience and adapt to uncertainty.
His research explored how intelligent agents can make better decisions in complex and unpredictable manufacturing environments. Today, he is applying that thinking to a bigger strategic question: what happens to businesses when intelligence becomes abundant?
Stick around for audience Q&A, then networking with founders, students, investors and members of Sydney's startup community.
