Design Signal #1 — Where Bangkok's Senior Design Leaders Meet, Talk, and Think Together
Design Signal is a recurring morning session for senior design leaders in Bangkok.
----
Not a conference. Not a panel. No slides, no sponsors, no keynotes. Just a small, curated group of Heads of Design, VPs, and Design Directors meeting over breakfast to talk about what actually matters.
Each edition starts with one guest: a senior design leader who answers four questions in front of the room.
The four questions are:
Who are you?
What is your design journey?
What is your current preoccupation or pain point?
What do you need from this room?
The talk runs about 20 minutes while people eat. Once it wraps, the floor opens. You can ask the speaker anything, share your own preoccupations, or bring something you have been thinking about. The conversation goes where the room takes it.
Why we built this
There are plenty of events for designers. This is not one of them.
Design Signal exists for people who are past the execution layer. People who are managing teams, influencing strategy, navigating organizational politics, and trying to figure out what good design leadership looks like in 2026 and beyond. People who find it harder and harder to connect with peers who are dealing with the same things.
The goal is threefold:
Knowledge sharing. Every session brings a real perspective from someone who has been in the room making decisions. No polished narratives, just honest conversation.
Networking that actually means something. We keep the group small on purpose. 10 to 15 people maximum per session. When the room is that size, you remember everyone you met and why it mattered.
Building a network that supports each other's growth. Over time, this becomes a group of people across different companies and industries who can call on each other, refer each other, and help each other think through hard problems.
Who this is for
This session is open to: Chief Design Officers, SVPs and VPs of Design, Heads of Design, Design Directors, and equivalent roles in product and experience leadership.
If you are still primarily doing design work rather than leading it, this edition is not the right fit. We will ask a few questions during registration to make sure the group stays focused.
Attendance is free. Spots are limited and require approval.
Location
Venue is only visible to attendees. We reserved a table on the second floor under the name "Jeremie" or "Hadrien".
Attendance Policy
Design Signal is a curated group and spots are limited. We review every registration request before approving it.
We reserve the right to decline your request if:
Your role is below the seniority level this session is designed for
You do not fill in your job title and company name in the registration form
We cannot verify that you work in a design leadership capacity
This is not about being exclusionary for its own sake. It is about protecting the quality of the conversation for everyone in the room.
