Ascend is a space for Calgary’s youth to explore their curiosity and turn ideas into action. Held weekly at House 831, it’s dedicated time to work on passion projects—whether you’re developing software, producing music, designing the most insane 3D graphics, or trying something completely new.

Girls Who Like To Do Things x Ascend
In a world often dominated by tech bros and finance bros, Girls Who Like To Do Things is on a mission to empower women. They’re dedicated to cultivating a supportive community where women are encouraged to pursue their passions, take up space, and mold their future.

What Happens at Ascend?
Ascend is Calgary’s weekly co-working session for youth from UCalgary, MRU, SAIT, BVC, and beyond. It’s a place to dedicate time to your personal projects and connect with like-minded peers.
🕒 Schedule (1:00–4:00 PM):
1:00 PM: Begin with a quick intro—share your goals and inspirations.
1:10 PM: Dive into a focused 50-minute deep work session.
2:00 PM: Take a 10-minute break to recharge and chat.
2:10 PM: Jump back in for another 50-minute work session.
3:00 PM: Wrap up with demos to showcase your progress and reflect on what you’ve learned.
4:00 PM: Official end—stick around to connect further if you’d like!
