Slow Your Click: a Photography Walk through Brussels
Slow Your Click is a creative, guided photography walk through two of Brussels' most visually rich spots, designed to help you - comms and marketing professionals - slow down, notice more, and capture the world around you in a way that reflects how you see it.
Taster Edition - 90 minutes
4 July 2026 | 14:00-15:30
Start at @Place du Petit Sablon 12, Brussels
10 people max.
Who is this for?
Anyone who works with communication, storytelling, or visuals and wants to sharpen how they see the world, not just document it. No photography experience needed. In fact, the less you have, the more you'll get out of it!
How it works
We start with a short introduction and a moment to arrive, a brief mindfulness exercise to shift you out of work mode and into observation mode, then we move.
At each location, you get a small creative challenge and shoot. You come back and show what you found to receive instant, personal feedback. Then you go again, and that's where something clicks.
Two locations. One brief reset in between. Then it's over before you know it. No lectures. No slideshows. Just you, your phone, and a new way of looking!
Introduction - 5mn
Setting the mood - 5-10mn
Shoot location 1 Sablon - 30mn
Shoot location 2 Rue De Rollebeek - 30mn
Outro and feedback - 15mn
What to bring
Your phone, that's it. A camera is welcome but absolutely not necessary.
What you'll walk away with
A new way of looking at your environment, light, shadow, perspective, detail
A practical understanding of composition you can apply immediately in your communication work, social media, campaigns, presentations, storytelling
The ability to take a photo that means something, one with intention, not just documentation
Photos you took that actually look good, using only your phone
A shared experience with people who see the world differently from you, because how you see the world says a lot about how you communicate it
What people say after participating
"I walked by the same place and suddenly saw a completely new one."
"I changed my angle, the photo got better. I couldn't believe it."
"The feedback is instant. You see yourself improve in real time."
"I started looking at streets differently. What can I photograph here? I became curious."
"It gave me an occasion to restart, to take pictures in a relaxed way, be around people, observe and create."
Your host for this Social Capital creative walk
This creative concept is developed by our member Kenneth Remels.
Kenneth has been obsessed with images for over eight years, first as a photographer, then as a videographer, then as a lighting operator programming shows from behind a console. He has also moved 25 times. When your environment keeps changing that often, you stop waiting for the perfect place and start finding the interesting thing in whatever room, street, or city you land in. You develop an eye out of necessity.
Somewhere along the way, between the photography, the video work, the lighting consoles and the 25 addresses, he realised that light, composition, and storytelling are really the same thing expressed differently. And that most people walk around with that exact ability to see, and never use it.
That's what Slow Your Click is about. He'll be the one at the meeting point, ready to show you what you've been missing all along!
