About Event

Input Output Research (IOR) is hosting the next in its series of technical workshops under Cardano Vision 26. These workshops are designed to drive specifications, requirements, and roadmap discussions, including engineering handover.

Cardano's on-chain governance (CIP-1694 Voltaire) is among the most advanced in the blockchain ecosystem, yet current data shows declining participation and growing concentration of voting power, a structural risk to treasury allocation and legitimacy. This governance workshop addresses the problem at two layers.

The first layer designs incentive mechanisms and participation models to raise voter engagement and reduce concentration risk while preserving safety and liveness, evaluated against on-chain data and agent-based simulations to identify parameter changes implementable within CIP-1694.

The second layer introduces a formally grounded domain-specific language (DSL) for DAO governance, aligned with existing models such as Agora and compiling to the AikenPlutus stack, so that governance logic can be expressed, audited, and verified.

The workshop will be hosted by Fergie Miller, Director of Research Partnerships at Input Output Group, with contributions from Paolo Penna (IOR) and Agustín Garassino (Eryx). Research presentations will be followed by a roundtable discussion.
