Geraint Thomas is a professional road cyclist, best known for winning the 2018 Tour de France. He began his career on the track, taking Olympic gold in the team pursuit at Beijing 2008 and London 2012 before shifting focus to road racing. Over more than a decade with Team Sky (later INEOS Grenadiers), he became a key domestique for teammates Bradley Wiggins and Chris Froome, helping them to multiple Grand Tour victories, before claiming his own overall Tour de France title in 2018. Known for his resilience and popular nickname "G," he has continued to compete at the top level into his late thirties, adding further Grand Tour podium finishes and cementing his place among Britain's most successful cyclists. He is also Director of Racing at INEOS Grenadiers
