vulnz.ch v0.7
vulnz.ch
vulnz.ch is a technical gathering where Zurich-based software and AI defenders and hackers share mitigations they've built, bugs they've found, research they've done, projects they've worked on or tinkered with, and papers they've read.
v0.7
The seventh edition will feature two talks:
Recovering Source Code: Bit-Perfect Recompilation Using Clever Tricks and AI - Gynvael Coldwind (X)
Getting a decompiled project to compile is one thing. But what if you wanted to recompile a piece of software into a byte-for-byte identical executable? This talk is a case study of achieving a bit-perfect recompilation of an old DOS game, from the initial idea and manual reverse-engineering work to the design of a fairly complex, regression-proof system that ensured the AI didn’t meander while decompiling and lifting the code.
Automating AppSec with Agents - Ryan Searle (LinkedIn)
We’re transforming traditional security reviews with agents. Learn how we’re gathering application context, generating threat models, and identifying and fixing control gaps and vulnerabilities.
Attendance
The event is for anyone hunting bugs or building software and AI defences. This list isn't exhaustive, but please join us if you work in or have hobby projects related to:
Application Security
Software Security
AI Security
Agentic Security
Penetration Testing

Bug Bounty Hunting.
Logistics
The seventh edition of vulnz.ch will take place on Wednesday, October 7th. Doors open at 18:00, the first talk begins at 18:15, and the evening wraps up with an open discussion.
Snyk, the AI-driven developer security platform, has an office at Zollstrasse 17, next to Zurich’s main railway station. Snyk has kindly offered vulnz.ch a new home, and its office will serve as the meetup’s new venue.
