About Event

Empower Your Body, Uplift Your Mind is a wellness series where we move together and then learn from local leaders.

Join us for a morning of yoga with Kaela Jonson-Smith followed by a conversation on mental health with Sophia Malevitsis and Jessica Arriaga.

Kaela’s teaching style is expansive and grounded, yet luminous ~ a space where body, breath, and spirit meet in sacred remembrance. She approaches yoga as a devotional practice of returning home to the self: the body as temple, the breath as the bridge between worlds, and the asanas as living prayers. Her classes are soft yet potent, ceremonial and cosmic, inviting students into embodied presence while opening portals of peace and inner light. Blending Reiki, sound healing, and intuitive energetics, Kaela guides each practice as a living ceremony ~ bridging movement and mindfulness to awaken the divine essence within.

Sophia Malevitsis and Jessica Arriaga are Licensed Mental Health Counselors in the greater Seattle area. They are both passionate about serving teens and young adults experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, low self-esteem, and relational concerns. They bring a knowledge base rooted in holistic, whole person health to their practices and the community. Jessica is driven and enthusiastic about empowering and arming her clients to grow more aligned with their values and reclaim control over their narratives. Sophia enjoys working with individuals healing from relational trauma and building secure attachments in romantic, familial and personal relationships. Both use a feminist and systems-oriented lens that helps conceptualize the nuance of lived experience. They are both passionate about public education and making mental health information accessible and relatable.
