Tech Career Fair Prep: Networking in Person

​Please come prepared with an elevator pitch tailored to an employer you’re interested in.

This interactive workshop is designed to help you network effectively at Career Fairs.

Through three guided activities, you’ll learn to:

• ​Craft a compelling pitch – Research your audience, create a strong hook, and spark interest that leads to a second meeting.

• ​Practice your delivery – Test your pitch in a supportive environment and receive feedback to refine clarity and impact.

• ​Build presence without words – Take part in “Drawing in Silence,” an exercise using eye contact and active listening to strengthen connection and comfort with vulnerability.

​By the end, you’ll walk away not just with a polished pitch, but with new tools to make meaningful connections, reduce anxiety in networking settings, and approach career fairs as opportunities for genuine conversation.
