​Join us at Rita House for the closing celebration of Encounters, a solo exhibition by visual artist Eva Malhotra — your last chance to experience this enduring collection in person.

​Born in Mexico, Malhotra's practice is a physical excavation of color and meaning. Her signature process layers multiple strata of acrylic paint on wood, then carves into the surface to reveal hidden histories, vibrant honeycombs of pigment, and intricate landscapes bridging the internal and the external. These are tactile, sculptural paintings meant to be felt as much as seen — so come ready to look closer, and even reach out and touch.

​Live performance: Singer Unitsi Ai performs live at 7:00 PM, filling the room with song for the exhibition's closing.
