The SF edition produced 152 one-on-one meetings in a single afternoon. The DC edition sold out two years running, and this April put 60+ allocators across from 35 climate funds representing $2.4B+ in combined strategy.
Why emerging managers. Fund I vehicles under $500M average 20.7% IRR against 17.5% for Fund IV and beyond (StepStone). 91% of the top ten VC funds each year from 2013 to 2022 were under $250M (Cambridge Associates). Climate funds carried a 9% IRR premium in the 2020 to 2024 vintage (SVB). Most allocators have never met the managers behind those numbers.
