About Event

The billion-dollar climate success story comes to New York.

Australia has built some of the world’s most successful environmental markets. More than a billion dollars a year is flowing to farmers, Traditional Owners and regional communities to sequester carbon and fight climate change, paddock by paddock.

And now carbon markets are the latest front in Australia’s culture wars.

The political right says they’re destroying agriculture. Parts of the environmental movement say they’re a licence for polluters. Meanwhile, Aussie land managers are making money, landscapes are being repaired and carbon is being pulled from the atmosphere.

Forest Trends’ Ecosystem Marketplace and GANE are joining forces to bring global market intelligence together with Australian evidence and stories from the ground.

Join us for an unscripted conversation with the businesses, landholders and communities at the centre of it: what’s working, what we’re learning, why a climate success story is under attack and how GANE is standing up for those who live and work on the land.

Cocktails included. Commentary encouraged.
