​Join the National Audubon Society for a special DC Climate Week Birds & Brews event with brews, bites, and a good time!

​If you care about beer, you care about birds!

​There are around 9,000 breweries across the country, and every one of them depends on brewer's yeast to produce their beer. This brewer's yeast is derived from grains like barley and wheat, which are grown across the country on lands that also help sustain grassland and migratory birds.

​Protecting the healthy souls, clean water, and open spaces where these grains grow means protecting the foundation of both beer and birdlife. When we invest in conservation, clean energy, and habitat protection, it safeguards the ecosystems that sustain our farm, our wildlife, and our favorite brews.
