About Hemant Asher:
Hemant Asher is a serial entrepreneur turned venture capitalist with over three decades of experience building, scaling and exiting technology ventures, primarily in Silicon Valley. As a Partner at Saama, he focuses on early-stage enterprise technology investments, working closely with founders to navigate the complexities of building and scaling enduring companies.
Before joining Saama, Hemant co-founded Enquero, a data analytics company that grew from a 3-member team to over 750 employees before being acquired by Genpact. Post-acquisition, he served as COO of Genpact’s Analytics business, driving growth and operational scale. Earlier, he spent eight years in leadership roles at Infosys, and began his entrepreneurial journey by helping build multiple software startups across supply chain, messaging, and fintech.
Hemant believes that strong companies are built by strong people. His approach to leadership is rooted in understanding individuals beyond their roles, valuing their unique strengths and fostering trust through openness and authenticity.

Saama is an early-stage investor with 20 years of experience across diverse sectors such as consumer tech, d2c brands, enterprise and financial services. They are an India-focused venture capital fund with assets under management (AUM) of $330M.
