André Is an Idiot — Screening + Q&A
What does it mean to live creatively — right up until the very end?
The Club SF and our friends at Adobe invite the SF creative community to a special screening of André Is An Idiot, the Sundance award-winning documentary about André Ricciardi: ad man, irreverent genius, and self-proclaimed idiot who skipped his colonoscopy — and paid for it with a stage 4 cancer diagnosis.
What follows isn't a sad story. It's one of the funniest, most life-affirming films you'll see this year. André faces mortality the only way he knows how: with humor, curiosity, and zero chill. Director Tony Benna brings his world to life with stop-motion animation, turning a film about dying into a wildly original celebration of what it means to be alive and creative.
After the screening, we'll host a Q&A with the filmmakers. Don't miss this evening of peak SF creativity. See you there!
