30 Years, One Planet: A Pre-COP Dialogue on the Road to Belém

As the world prepares for COP30 in Belém, Brazil, this year marks 30 years since the first UN Conference on Environment and Development (the Rio Earth Summit) — a pivotal moment that shaped the global climate agenda.

Three decades later, the urgency of climate action has only deepened, while the frameworks, institutions, and public expectations around climate governance have evolved in complex ways.

“30 Years, One Planet” invites participants into an open and engaging pre-COP dialogue to explore where we’ve come from and where we’re headed next.

Through this session, we’ll look back at 30 years of international climate negotiations and look forward to what’s at stake in COP30 — the first COP to be hosted in the Amazon region.

Join us for this dialogue hosted by Sustainability Community Finland, as we reflect on thirty years of global climate action and look ahead on the road to Belém.
