DITTO #1
Ditto is a performance night, potluck, and fundraiser. Each edition supports a different creative project, and every edition shares the same dress-up theme: twins, doubles, duos, sets, trios, whatever kind of match or group you want to show up as.
This first edition raises money for the cast and crew of Cassie's play, Fictional Names, to cover their debut week of performances at Philly Fringe.
Fictional Names follows Cashew Lowman, a character CW says he met on Quora about a year ago, and his friend Sasha, a writer who reviews and journals more than she looks up from the page. A strange coincidence sends Cashew to visit Sasha, and both of them spiral into questions about what's real and what's invented. The show mixes narration, poetry, puppetry, and practical effects, with bits of Cashew's actual Quora answers woven through.
What to expect:
A lineup of comedy and live music, with a DJ set closing out the last hour. A PA is on site under the carport, and a potluck where we're asking people to bring something that plays with the theme: a pair, a matching set, a double batch, whatever goes together.
This is an outdoor event, so bring a chair or a blanket to sit on.
Come dressed as a double, a lookalike, part of a set, or just as you are. Bring food or drinks to share. Stay for the show, the food, and the company.
Run of show:
4:00 Doors, potluck setup
4:30 Comedy and live performances
7:00 DJ set
RSVPs help us get a headcount since space is limited. At the door, it's pay what you can by Venmo-ing Cassie directly. Our goal is to help Cassie's team raise $1,500 for the week.
Saturday, September 12 4:00-8:00 PM Under a carport near Pony Pasture. Exact address goes out in a blast the day before to those who RSVP.
