About Event

AI Reality Check: Lessons from Research, Product & Engineering is a community-driven event hosted by RO AI Alliance during FOMO – Festival of Modern Owners, bringing together professionals working across research, product development, and engineering to explore what artificial intelligence actually looks like beyond the hype cycle.

Designed as a practical and open conversation, the event focuses on the real-world applications, limitations, and evolving workflows surrounding AI today — from autonomous research systems and production-ready AI products to experimental engineering practices and the changing relationship between humans and technology.

Rather than speculative discussions or trend-driven narratives, the session aims to create a grounded perspective on how AI is being built, tested, integrated, and challenged in real professional environments.

The event features Alexandru Dan, whose work focuses on artificial intelligence, ethical technology development, and the societal implications of emerging AI systems. He will explore the balance between innovation, responsibility, and the future direction of AI adoption.

Joining the discussion is Stefania Budulan, who brings hands-on experience from the product and technology side of AI implementation within large-scale creative and software ecosystems. Her perspective will focus on how AI moves from research into practical tools and products used by millions of people.

The conversation will also include Tudor Predună, who works at the intersection of engineering, data systems, and autonomous technologies. He will share insights into experimental AI workflows, technical problem-solving, and the realities of integrating intelligent systems into complex engineering environments.

The event is built as an informal but highly relevant space for founders, engineers, researchers, creatives, and curious professionals interested in understanding AI beyond headlines, social media narratives, and exaggerated expectations.
