Whether you're a lifelong Blerd or simply curious about the worlds of horror, science fiction, fantasy, anime, manga, comics, gaming, and speculative fiction, House of Blerds is a place to connect, discover, and celebrate together.

At Long Dark House, we believe stories have the power to bring people together. House of Blerds is the beginning of a new community dedicated to celebrating Black creativity, imagination, and fandom in all its forms.

This week's meeting will be the last of the 2026 year, so we are trying to go out with a bang! The House of Blerd Holiday Party will include a White Elephant gift swap and will be potluck style. To participate in the White elephant gift swap, all you have to do is bring any gift, it can be handmade or store bought. To ensure no one is breaking the bank, and things stay fair, all gifts must be valued at $25 or less.

For the potluck, feel free to bring a handmade dish, desert or drink (non-alcoholic). If cooking or baking isn't your strong suit, don't stress, store bought is perfectly fine!
