[macc.xyz] April Meetup: Global Superstars & Immersive Tech

​Following the phenomenal response to our launch, macc.xyz is back for event number two. We're kicking off our objective to showcase some of the world-class work happening right on our doorstep, featuring two incredible speakers building digital experiences for some of the biggest global brands, bands, and museums.

​First up, I'm hosting a fireside chat with Chris Drury (Tech Lead at Modern English). Chris builds industry-defining tech for the world’s biggest names. We’ll discuss his entrepreneurial journey - from exiting his first e-commerce agency at 25 to his current role leading creative and experiential tech projects. Expect a deep dive into his work building AI platforms for Puma and Manchester City, alongside immersive, location-based applications for Elton John, Metallica, The Rolling Stones, and Chanel.

​Next, we'll hear from Dan Cooper (Founder of Dot Crew). A digital pioneer and former BBC digital lead, Dan specialises in delivering massive, award-winning interactive installations for global visitor attractions. He'll talk us through his work blending the physical and digital worlds using touch, voice, gesture, and AR, sharing insights from building interactive, voice-led autobiographies for the U.S. Olympic Museum and immersive subsea storytelling in Norway.
