Vibe Coding Night #29 // Reverse Engineering - Open Registration
You run software you can't read.
Every app on your machine — compiled, sealed, opaque. You didn't write it. You can't see what it does. You just trust it. Reverse engineering cracks that open.
Take a compiled program, turn it back into something a human can read. Security researchers use it to find bugs. Malware analysts use it to understand attacks. It's one of the oldest skills in computing and one of the hardest to start learning.
Six months ago, the entire toolchain became conversational.
Ghidra — a free disassembler built by the NSA — now has an MCP server. An LLM can operate it directly. Decompile a function. Trace where it gets called. Rename the variables. You don't need to read assembly. The model reads it. You ask the questions.
We're putting real binaries on the table. Programs none of us wrote. You wire an LLM to a disassembler and try to figure out what the code does. Where the model genuinely helps. Where it's confidently wrong. Where you still need a human brain.
You don't need to have done this before. That's the point. The barrier just moved and nobody knows where the new floor is.
Ghidra is free. GhidraMCP is open source. Bring a laptop.

This event is hosted at the Frontier Tower:
We are transforming a 16-floor tower in San Francisco into a self-governed vertical village—a hub for frontier technologies and creative arts. Tier-one labs presenting AI, Ethereum, biotech, neuroscience, longevity, robotics, makerspace, human flourishing, and arts & music. These floors will house innovators and creators pushing the boundaries of human potential in a post-AI-singularity world.
