Featured Speaker: Professor Taskin Padir
We are honored to welcome Professor Taskin Padir, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University and an Amazon Scholar.
Professor Padir is a leading expert in robotics, human-robot interaction, and intelligent autonomous systems, with extensive work in human-robot teaming and embodied artificial intelligence. He is the founding director of Northeastern University’s Institute for Experiential Robotics and leads the Robotics and Intelligent Vehicles Research Laboratory (RIVeR Lab).
His research brings together robotics, autonomy, and embodied AI to advance intelligent systems that can interact with people and operate in the real world.

Building on the spirit of Skillthon, From Prompt to Practice brings the K-RAINES community together to turn individual experimentation into shared, practical knowledge.
Skillthon showed us that some of the most valuable learning happens not only through final demos, but through seeing how other people approach problems, structure their workflows, and put AI agents to work.
This event carries that spirit forward through a featured keynote, community Lightning Talks, and peer exchange—focused on real workflows that others can understand, learn from, and try themselves.
Whether you’re just beginning to experiment with AI agents or already have sophisticated workflows of your own, you’re welcome to join.
⚡ Lightning Talks: Show Us Your AI Agent Workflow
Have an AI agent workflow that has made your work—or your life—better? We want to hear about it.
We’re inviting up to 8 community guest speakers to share their real-world experiences using AI agents.
Your example does not need to be a polished product or a sophisticated technical demo. We’re looking for practical, honest examples of how you actually use AI agents in work or everyday life.
Your talk could cover:
A workflow that saves you time at work
A research or domain-specific AI application
A personal productivity or everyday-life use case
A repetitive task you’ve automated
A workflow that reduced effort or decision-making burden
An agentic work/life hack you’re proud of
Something that didn’t work—and what you learned from it
The goal is simple: share something another member can understand, learn from, and potentially apply to their own work or life.
Speaker Honorarium
We are accepting up to 8 Lightning Talk speakers on a first-come, first-served basis.
First 3 speakers: $100 honorarium each
Next 5 speakers: $50 honorarium each
