About Event

AI is already part of the working week in many charities. The questions that matter now are about what comes next: how it is governed, and how to use it in ways that hold up to scrutiny from the media, supporters and the people a charity serves.

Charities work through these questions on tight budgets and in full public view, which makes their answers useful to comms teams well beyond the sector.

In this Comms With AI Leader Interview, Michael MacLennan sits down with Zoe Amar, co-author of the Charity Digital Skills Report and chair of the Charity Digital Code of Practice, for a fireside conversation about that next stage. Expect to cover:

  • the comms dilemmas AI creates, from press releases journalists will read closely to AI imagery in sensitive areas;

  • the ethical questions, including the energy and water AI uses;

  • staff using AI before any policy exists, and how to bring that into the open;

  • talking to supporters, donors and the people you serve about how your organisation uses AI;

  • what leaders and boards need to get right while the tools keep changing.

It is a conversation, so bring your questions: add them to the chat at any point, and there is time at the end for more. The session is free and recorded, so register even if you cannot make the slot and the recording will come to you. A write-up follows on Applied / Comms With AI.

Who it is for: communicators in any organisation that relies on public trust, in-house or agency; charity comms teams, leaders and trustees; and the agencies and freelancers who work with them.

Note the time: 16:00 GMT, late afternoon rather than lunchtime.

Joining: register and the joining link comes to you by email and in your calendar invite, with reminders the day before and an hour before. It runs in your browser, with nothing to install.
