Lunch & Learn: Building an Investor Mindset is a structured, small-group series designed for experienced professionals evaluating exposure to private markets and early-stage opportunities. It is particularly relevant for advisors to family-owned enterprises exploring patient capital strategies, as well as operators and executives seeking a disciplined framework before deploying capital.
This is not a pitch event, demo day, or fundraising session. The in-person working lunch in Toronto establishes a practical capital allocation framework — how the venture model works in practice, how investors assess asymmetric risk and opportunity, and how capital is deployed at the pre-seed and seed stages. The session is intentionally discussion-driven and limited in size to allow for meaningful exchange, not presentations.
Participants then continue with two live online sessions that deepen the framework, covering venture exits and return mechanics, portfolio construction and follow-on strategy, and early-stage valuation logic.
