About Event

All across the Front Range, people are quietly working to care for this bioregion — restoring land, growing food, building local economies, tending community. But it's hard to find each other.

This gathering is a step toward changing that.

We're coming together because Joe Brewer and Penny Heiple are passing through Boulder, Penny's hometown, on a months-long journey across the Mississippi basin. For years they've helped bioregions everywhere organize to care for their home places. Their visit is the spark — but the gathering is about us: the people of this place, finding one another.

The Flow

  • 5:00pm — Arrive and explore the farm/land

  • 6:00pm — Dinner

  • 6:30pm — Remarks from Joe and Penny

  • 7:00pm — Bioregional imagination activism workshop

  • 8:00pm — Remarks from SPIRIT of The Front Range and Front Range Commons Stewards

  • 8:30pm — Mingle and meet each other

  • 9:00pm — Depart

Come meet others doing the work of regeneration and resilience across the Front Range. We'll share stories, dream forward together about what our bioregion could become, and explore the real ways we might coordinate and collaborate from here.

What to expect:

  • Hosted at Friends Farm and Nyland Cohousing

  • Locally sourced and lovingly prepared dinner

  • Stories and vision from Joe & Penny on how communities are coming home to their places

  • A hands-on session where we imagine the future of this bioregion together — and trace the steps back to today

  • An open look at the ways we might coordinate our efforts going forward — including emerging shared infrastructure like Spirit of the Front Range and the Front Range Commons, alongside the projects and places already rooted here

We'll share delicious food together. If you feel moved to chip in toward the meal and the work, there will be a simple way to do it — at whatever level feels right. No one is turned away.

Whether you've been at this for decades or you just feel a pull toward tending the place we call home, there's a place for you here.

Let's find the others.
