When Psychology Meets UX is an event series created for UX designers and product thinkers who are curious about the human side of decision-making and how it shows up in real products.

What you can expect

For years, good design has meant designing for people: how they read a screen, where their attention goes, what makes them hesitate or trust. But agents don't scan a layout or feel friction. They parse structure, follow rules, and act in milliseconds. So what happens to all that hard-won craft when your user is a machine working on someone's behalf?

In this session, Aswin Ranganathan gets specific about the difference between designing for humans and designing for agents, and why they are more relatable than you think. Aswin’s journey spans both sides of the AI space. After leading a design team at Delivery Hero, he transitioned into AI engineering. Then he built an agentic product through his company, Sunlight. That gives him a unique perspective of designing for humans, and now designing for agents that work for humans.

You will leave with a practical feel for where human-centered design still holds, where it needs rethinking, and how to start designing for a world where your product is used by people and their agents at the same time.

After the talk, we'll leave plenty of time to hang out, meet new people, and keep the conversation going over snacks and drinks.
