From Front Pages to Feeds: Journalism in the TikTok Era
For many people today, journalism is first encountered on TikTok. Alongside front pages and broadcasts, digital feeds have become a central place where audiences discover news, context, and explanation.
In this session, senior voices from Swedish media come together to discuss how journalism works when TikTok is part of the distribution mix. The conversation explores how established media organisations use the platform to reach new audiences, experiment with format, and build relationships, while continuing to work within clear editorial frameworks.
The panel brings perspectives from public service, commercial media, and journalism produced directly for digital feeds. It focuses on practical editorial choices, examples of what has worked well on TikTok, and how responsibility and trust are considered when journalism travels across platforms.
