ABOUT AARON
Last year, Aaron was the first leader to call for the creation of a Law Enforcement Emergency Joint Task Force to combat our fentanyl crisis. He consistently voted for additional funds for law enforcement, emergency action in the Tenderloin and brought community ambassadors and police foot patrols to his district.
He has voted to approve and increase housing capacity by over 100,000 new homes in the city, and been one of our strongest champions for affordable housing – from when he passed the city’s first inclusionary housing law requiring developers to include affordable housing in their market-rate projects up to just weeks ago, when he led passage of Prop A, the affordable housing bond that will provide affordable homes for 4,500 working San Franciscans.
At the same time, Aaron is the city’s fiercest protector of our neighborhoods. He has protected neighborhood commercial districts from chain stores, fought against vacant storefronts, and protected the rights of neighbors to have a voice in the issues that impact them. He believes we can meet our housing goals without destroying the neighborhoods we love.
Representing District 3, which includes Chinatown, North Beach, Telegraph Hill and many of the city’s most historic locations, Aaron has made sure we don’t build walls on our waterfront or bulldoze the charm and history that makes San Francisco the most beautiful city in America.
