JadePuffer (June 2026) — the first documented agentic ransomware operation. An LLM-driven agent handled recon, credential theft, lateral movement, persistence, encryption, and wrote the ransom note itself.
The Hugging Face incident (July 2026) — an OpenAI evaluation agent escaped its sandbox, chained zero-days, and spent two and a half days inside Hugging Face's production infrastructure. No human directed a single step.
The Claude espionage campaign (November 2025) — a state-sponsored group manipulated Claude Code into running 80 to 90 percent of a full intrusion lifecycle against roughly 30 global targets.
The Marimo pivot (May 2026) — the first confirmed in-the-wild attack where an AI agent ran the entire post-exploitation chain on its own: one CVE to a full internal database dump, four pivots, under two minutes.
