Science Untapped is a initiative by Uncharted Science, a science and technology collective from Hyderabad which is organising this series of lectures.
In this lecture on Quantum Computing, we are bringing Dr Shantanav Chakraborty to speak about qubits, quantum algorithms and quantum computing. Dr Shantanav Chakraborty is a Assistant Professor at IIIT Hyderabad, affiliated with its Centre for Quantum Science and Technology. He is going to share his work and what's happening with the National Quantum Mission in India, along with it a bit of geo-politics of Quantum Race across the World.
While this is a science discussion with intricate details, we will try our best to make it fun for a general audience with focus on applications of Quantum Science and a bit of fun on how Quantum Computers can hack everything out there, including your phones. Then there are all the quantum cash ideas inspired from the crypto world. Yup, there is money money.

Who is the Speaker?
Dr.Shantanav Chakraborty is an Assistant Professor at IIIT Hyderabad, affiliated with its Centre for Quantum Science and Technology (CQST) and the Centre for Security, Theory and Algorithmic Research (CSTAR). His research focuses on quantum algorithms and quantum computation, particularly the design of new algorithms via quantum walks, and development of tools based on block-encoding and quantum singular value transformation.
