There’s Method in the Scammer’s Madness: Why Startup Founders are Targeted and How to Stay Safe

​Congratulations, you’ve founded your company!  And while you’ve got no revenue and what little funding you have you’re spending on tokens, you keep getting scams: scam invoices, fake trademark notices, requests for data from sketchy “investors”, and “consulting” messages on LinkedIn.  And you’re left wondering, “why?”

Scammers target startups because they’re easy marks, not because they’ve got much money.  In this session, I’ll share common scams against startups and how to avoid them.
